​Mile 3-4: Wayland North

​Miles 1: Cable Line Road

 

​Cable Line Road-Miles 1-2

​​Bike Course Cut-off time: 1:00pm

The new course is a 56 mile course that will begin at the West Branch State Park Beach and finish in "downtown" Newton Falls. There will be fluid bottle exchanges at approx. mile 28             

  • ​​​​​​​​​Miles 0-3 will be a gentle climb out of the park-to-mostly flat.

  • Miles 3-4 are gently rolling on Wayland Road with AVERAGE to poor road conditions.

  • Miles 4-24 are flat, smooth & fast!  There is a mile section (approx mile 11) of road in Newton Falls that is very average bike conditions.

  • Miles 24-26 are rolling hills-to-a gentle climb on the south end of SR 534.

  • Miles 26-35 will be generally smooth & fast! with some sweet view of Lake Berlin!

  • Miles 35-40 are mostly flat-to-a slow, gentle climb on SR14 up to SR 18.

  • Miles 40-44 are mostly flat with some fast downhills as you head North and West on SR 14.

  • Miles 44-56 will be a flat re-ride of SR 5 as you head into Newton Falls.  Portions of this section (miles 48-56) will be a repeat of miles 4-13...FAST!

Course update information The course will be marked as follows:

"GREEN" arrows on the course will be used for the GWRT Half...("G"reen = "G"WRT)  "ORANGE" arrows will be used for the OLYM/Sprint...("O"range = "Olym/Sprint)
